Selling My First House

My first home is officially for sale.  You can view the listing here.

Please, tweet it, facebook it, email it, or walk your computer over to your neighbor and make her read it.

I’ve loved creating this space, and I thought you might like to see the video tour of my home. Below, I’ve posted pictures of what it looked like before I moved in.  Yes, I have been a frequent weekend warrior for the last 3.5 years.

Here’s the 2008 House Tour:

The Living Room

The Full Bathroom (yes, it wins for most changed- that IS pink plastic tile)
The Guest Room
The Kitchen (yes, I did have laundry in my kitchen)

The Master Bedroom (it has a half bath attached)
Every house where love abides
And friendship is a guest,
Is surely home, and home sweet home
For there the heart can rest.

………………….I’m so thankful.

A String of “Once In a Lifetimes”

He returned to Nazareth, his hometown. When he taught there in the synagogue, everyone was amazed and said, “Where does he get this wisdom and the power to do miracles?” Then they scoffed, “He’s just the carpenter’s son, and we know Mary, his mother, and his brothers…Where did he learn all these things?” And they were deeply offended and refused to believe in him.
And so he did only a few miracles there because of their unbelief.

I haven’t been able to get this out of my head since I read it on January 21 (Bible in a Year, anyone?). Really, it’s been haunting me.

Only a few?

Personally, if I were from Nazareth, I think I’d be pumped to witness a few miracles by God’s Only Son. But it turns out He wants to show us miracles pouring down. Oh. Right.

I actually do see God at work around me. In fact, I’m pretty amazed and thankful that He draws me in to life with Him. But then, though deeply thankful for a sacred moment (like India), I move on without much expectation.

But what if life is really a string of Once in a Lifetimes? So much more than just a few?

I’m done with unbelief.

I’m claiming my billions of miracles.

I’m living a string of glorious Once in a Lifetimes.

What about you? Which story are you going to live?
