Kids serving others: an incredible lesson for us

This video, from Kensington Church, is an amazing visual of kids that are changing the world and parents that are supporting them.  You’ll love hearing their stories.

Do you remember in Luke 18 when Jesus says, “These children are the kingdom’s pride and joy. Mark this: Unless you accept God’s kingdom in the simplicity of a child, you’ll never get in.”

I’m so glad I have children in my life to remind me about how to live in God’s Kingdom. Recently, I’ve been taking the little girl I mentor to serve at my Day Camp church promotions.  In our world, she’s one of the ones that is always getting served- free lunch, free coats, free medical care, free camp.  But the thing is, I’ve never ever seen her more joyful than when she’s serving the local church.  It seems that no matter what their needs are, when kids start serving, they feel like they are accomplishing what they were created for.  What a great reminder.

Which kids are you leading in a life of service today?  It might just change the trajectory of their lives and stir something new in you…
